Tzora Vineyards was founded by Ronnie James in 1993 with the aim of establishing a Judean Hills terroir. The winemaker is now Eran Pick MW, who studied at the University of California at Davis. He joined the winery in 2006 to help James’ vision come true and became dedicated to making a terroir driven wine from separate individual plots in a single vineyard. When he became Israel’s first Master of Wine, he attracted a great deal of interest and attention to the new style of Israeli wine being hatched in the Judean Hills. Fittingly, Dor James, the son of Ronnie, is the viticulturist.
